Play-at- Height, Dingle, Co. Kerry   Saturday 10th October ‘09

The 2009 Irish national lead climbing competition will be hosted by Play-at-Height. Categories are male/ female senior and male/ female junior.  Entry costs €20 for Seniors, €15 for Juniors, payable on the day. The event is organised by Mountaineering Ireland in Conjunction with Play-at-Height and is sponsored by La Sportiva.

Competitors will climb two qualifying routes which are demonstrated, there will be no isolation for these routes. The starting order for the first qualifying route is random. The finals will take place in the afternoon. All finalists will be held in an isolation zone. There will be an observation period for the final route before the finals are climbed on-sight. Grades will range from approximately; 7a-8a (male) 6b-7b+ (female) and 6a+-7c (junior).

Registration/warm up opens at 8:30am. Registration closes at 9:00am. Climbing starts 10:00am.
